Description:

The itinerary that we describe is to be considered as one of the simplest of the Grigne,it can also be carried out by small children,but it can give remarkable landscape views of extreme beauty.

The start of the itinerary is located in Baiedo, a small hamlet of Pasturo in Valsassina, it can be reached in countless streets,but we advise you to follow the Valsassina road from Ballabio,almost reach the end of Pasturo and before the bridge over Pioverna,turn left and follow the signs for Baiedo,until we find a large parking lot,free, where you can park.

Once parked we follow the signs with the indications Piani di Nava,we will pass in this stretch of path between the houses of Baiedo,starting our ascent towards the refuge,on some houses we are indicated by paintings on walls the possible paths to climb up to the refuge.

We continue to climb along the small concrete road that we will never have to abandon,as we climb with fairly high slopes, the houses become less and less leaving room for beautiful deciduous forests.

Along the way we will meet some huts surrounded by beautiful meadows.

Slowly we go up and in a short time we reach the Piani di Nava, one of the most beautiful places in the Grigne and also in the entire Alpine arc,a true paradise,where some huts are located on beautiful meadows at the foot of the Grignone.

Once you reach the Piani di Nava, the most has been done, the path becomes flat and the mule track becomes a small path, following the signs for the Riva refuge, in about 10' we will reach it in comfort.

Once we have passed the last house of the Piani di Nava, we will return to the dense deciduous forest, we will overcome a small stream and we will face the last 100 m uphill until we reach the refuge.
