Barzio - Refuge Buzzoni (Barzio - Rifugio Buzzoni)

Description:

This trail starts from the parking of the cableway that conducts to the Piani di Bobbio, in particular starts just before entering in the parking at the righr side of the street, wehere can see a dirt road and an access bar that doesnt' allow to the car to go through it.

The first part of this trail is quite ease, we follow this dirt road since we will find a little chapel, where we have to turn on left and follow the trail number 19.

We will reach the Agriturismo "Al Pascolo" and we will continue to follow the dirt road.

Once we will pass the last hut, the dirt road will become a little trail that will enter into a beech forest and it will remain flat.

At the end of this part the trail will descend till a little river, we will found a series of chain that can help us in case we have not so much experience or in case the trail is wet. At the end of this chains we will pass the river with a wood bridge and , once go through it, it will begin the climb to the refuge.

The first part of the climb is quite hard we will surpass a series of rivulets, without any bridge, and we will climb with a path that is a natural staircase of stones.

After almost 45' from Barzio we will find a crossroad and the indication to Introbio, but we have to continue straight, we will find a little downhill till we cross another little river.

Once we will pass it, the climb become very hard and we have no time to rest a little. We will not find indication or signal, but the path is quite easy to follow and is quite large, even in autumn when the leaves cover all of it, is quite easy to follow.

This part of the trail ends after almost 30' at Alpe Tee, here we find a crossroad and a signal that indicates 40' to reach the refuge.

From this point the trail becomes less hard, we will find flat parts and little climb parts with slope not so hard. We can see the refuge, and only in the last meters the trail becomes hard again with some hairpin bends.

Before reach it, we will find a deviation for Piani di Bobbio and refuge Grassi, but this trail can be done only in summer and autumn, when there is no snow.

From the refuge we can see and admire the beutiful landscape, with Valsassina and the Grignone in front of us.
