The second stage of the Adda's bicycle path will conduct us from Brivio to Trezzo sull'Adda, this stage has the most beautiful landscape and we will cross old Hydroeletric power plant.
Once we will reach Brivio, from the first stage that we have described at following LINK, we will go through Brivio, always along the river.
At the end of this little town we will find a barrier that avoid to car to pass over, and it will start a dirt road that will conduct us to the next city of Imbersago.
From now the bicycle path will become a dirt road that go alongside the river, sometimes we will find little lake that is created by the river itself.
After almost 4km we will arrive at Imbersago, this little town is famous due to Leonardo da Vinci, in fact we will find the boat of Lenoardo da Vinci, this boat is quite particular, in fact it can trasport car, passenger, from one side to the other of the river without any engine. It uses the river stream to move from oneside to the other, and the idea of this boat was from Leonardo da Vinci.
After Imbersago the path will continue to follow a dirt road, always alngside the river and the slope is completely flat.
After other 4km from Imbersago we will arrive at the first dam next to Paderno, the path will go through this dam, always alongside the river.
Pay attention next to a little house we have to turn on left and follow the road that goes under the famous bridge of Paderno.
The path at this juncture will tend to detach from the path of the river and continue; along the canals of the various power plants, always remaining in a beautiful landscape, and with a few meters away the river that from Paderno becomes a succession of rapids and rocks dug by the water;before walking along the canals we will face a short bridge near some buildings of the Edison
We will arrive at a last barrier, always raised, where there is an old locks control center of dams, from here it will begin a descent towards Trezzo sull'adda.
At the end of the downhill, we will meet the first power plant on our road,it is the Bertini hydroelectric plant and the cycle path will flank it.
After almost 1 km we will meet the second hydroelectric plant, Esterle, where the path will become a dirt road again and will go alongside the river Adda.
The path ends in Trezzo sull'Adda where the dirt road becomes an asphalt street, also in Trezzo we can see the third power plant, Taccani, from here we have two choices: the first one is to return to Brivio from the same path, the second one is to continue the path till Milano and in this case we have to follow the Martesana cycle path.
